Baby on Board

Planning on installing a car seat for your newest little passenger? When you make a list of all the things you MUST do when your new baby arrives, be sure to add calling the CBC to the list!

Treated as all other QFSCs, the birth or adoption of a child needs to be reported to the Caremark Benefits Center within 31 days of the event (birth or adoption).

IMPORTANT! These changes will not be effective if you report them to Coventry and/or your Human Resources department. Changes only become effective when reported directly to the CBC by you, within the 31 day QFSC enrollment period. Caremark will communicate your election changes to Coventry on your behalf.

Coventry Specialized Maternity Program

Expecting a new baby? It’s a special time for you, as you look forward to that big day. And yet there’s so much to do, so much to learn. Even if you’ve been a parent before, new questions come up. That’s why Coventry is there to provide support, guidance and education to help you during and after your pregnancy.

The Coventry specialized maternity services offer:

Educational materials, including a free copy of the popular book, What to Expect When You’re Expecting.
Ongoing interviews and support from a nurse case manager during your pregnancy and immediately following the birth of your baby.
Additional support during high-risk pregnancies.
Special support for infants with serious medical conditions during their first year of life.
Help in finding obstetricians, pediatricians or other physicians, and hospitals in your area that participate in the Coventry Network.

If you would like to take advantage of Coventry's specialized maternity services, call them anytime to speak with a nurse case manager who can help you get the information you need. Be sure to call them early in your pregnancy to get the greatest benefit from the program.
